KIMCHI

It was the third day we visited Korea. All of us were extremely excited about the new experiences. On this day, we woke up early and prepared ourselves well. As usual, we did our RTK test to make sure everyone is healthy and safe. After that, we started our trip. The food shop that we went to is the one that is always recommended by locals and tourists. So, it is a must for us on this trip.


We took the subway from our hotel, Lotte Hotel, to Gangnam Station, as the store is located there. It took us 50 minutes to get to our location. After a short walk, we arrived at the restaurant. Finally, we were in front of the Kimbuksoon Kimchi restaurant. We were amazed by the surroundings. The taste of kimchi filled the whole environment. The decoration is so typical of a Korean restaurant. Besides, you can also see some celebrities who have visited here before by seeing their signature and date.




After that, the waitress gave us their menu. The menu looks friendly to tourists; they have a total of 4 languages on their menu, Korean, Japanese, English, and also Chinese. The restaurant serves a few types of Kimchi dishes, not only the traditional Kimchi dish. Their most famous dish is the kimchi stew. Of course, we will try it. Other than the traditional kimchi, we had the kimchi stew with tuna ₩8000, soft tofu stew with seafood ₩8000, and much more.



Kimchi Jjigae is another name for this kimchi stew. It is one of the most popular dishes in Korea. The stew is made with kimchi, onions, scallions, seafood, diced tofu, and many more ingredients. It is most commonly enjoyed with a bowl of hot rice.

 After a while, the food came to us. The kimchi stew was so hot, you have to be careful if you have it. However, it was so tasty and the food smelled good. The matured kimchi is great as it gives the soup a better quality and a much stronger and more favorable taste. The kimchi has released a lot of red liquid, or juice. It was so perfect to be used together with the soup in the stew. We can’t imagine how fantastic the recipe is.


After having our meal, we all instantly fell in love with this Kimchi Jjigae. The food was appetizing. It was absolutely perfect for the cold day; it had warmed us. We left the restaurant and departed to the next destination.

13th January 2022 It was our fourth day in Korea. As usual, in the morning, when we woke up, we did an RTK test to make sure we were safe. After that, we were planning to have lunch at a place where we could eat tteokbokki. Our friend Mei Chen said we can go to this particular restaurant, which is located at Sindang-dong, Seoul. The restaurant's name is Maboklim Wonjo Halmeonijip Tteokbokki. We travel from Lotte Hotel Seoul to Maboklim Wonjo Halmeonijip Ttokbokki by bus. It took us around 20 minutes to reach that restaurant. We were craving tteokbokki, which was recommended by our friend. After they bowed and welcomed us, the waitress instructed us to place our orders from the menu. We went there to taste their tteokbokki, and since we had a 20-minute bus ride, we got that along with hot teas. JAJANGMYEON

14th  January 2022 Today is the last two day of our trip. We have been here for five days . It's kind of hard to think that today is our last two days. We woke up, then we took the RTK test first like usual. However we went to bed late yesterday, that's why we woke up late today. When we woke up it was around 2pm. After we did the RTK test, we had a good shower. After taking showers, we ordered room service and enjoyed our breakfast and lunch in the hotel. After we had our lunch, we went to Myeongdong to go shopping. It took about 8 minutes to get there by subway from our hotel. When we arrived at Myeongdong, we started our shopping trip there. After shopping, we were a little bit hungry, so we asked the local people where we could find famous Jajangmyeon . However , the local people recommended this restaurant called gaehwa to us.
