KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN

The next day, we were so tired from the previous day of walking around and enjoying the street food. Unlike Penang, Seoul is much bigger and most of the people there prefer walking. We woke up around 12:30 p.m. and took our RTK test to make sure everyone was in good physical condition, and then we left for the famous Korean fried chicken restaurant in Hongdae, recommended by our friend, Mei Chen. We took a bus to the restaurant. The journey to the restaurant took about 22 minutes.
Kyochon Chicken Dongdaemun is the best chicken restaurant in Korea that always serves the best Korean fried chicken. KyoChon 1991 is one of the largest fried chicken restaurant chains in South Korea.
A while later, we reached the restaurant, took a look at the menu card, and ordered their signature Korean fried chicken. It cost around 16,044.32 South Korean won.
When you bite into the chicken, the skin is extra crispy. You could hear the crunch. Moreover, the chicken was not greasy. You don’t get oil trickling down your fingers! Kyochon chicken was double-fried to perfection. It had that extra-crispy bite. And for the first time, I found myself licking my fingers. The sauce has a salty, sweet, and tangy texture, but very well balanced.
This restaurant serves 3 types of flavors which represent Original (Soy Sauce) which costs around 15,000, Red Original 16,000, and Honey Original 15,000. As a result, the meat is very juicy on the inside, while the lightly battered skin is crunchy with very little grease.
It is a popular late-night snack in South Korea, and honestly, we truly enjoyed this Korean fried chicken and it was worth the price. Korean fried chicken is a must-eat for travelers in Korea, and I definitely recommend you stop by Kyochon Chicken and have their fried chicken, a brand that represents great fried chicken here, in between shopping in Dongdaemun. We had the best fried chicken of our life.
